Our rental is located in Les Hérys Dessus on the sunny side of the village of Mercury. It is part of a family farmhouse built in 1704. The rental itself is located on the first floor of the main building. This entire level is private and reserved for the rental's occupants. The house presents typical arcades of 18th-century buildings.
A family business
Until the time of the grandparents, the family lived off the farm: fruits, vegetables, cereals, wine, milk... Things changed in the 1950s with the development of industry and winter tourism. In 1955, the grandfather invested in an ACMA/Vespa scooter to go to work at the Ugine steel factory. Today, the scooter is mainly used on Sunday mornings to pick up fresh bread from the bakery...
The family has continued this agricultural activity: garden, orchard, vineyard, hay, wood... Around the house, there is still plenty of life and things to see and discover!
